DOYLESTOWN (Pa.)--- Jess Williamson scored a goal in each half and the Aggies used stellar defense and goalkeeping to keep a blank sheet and defeat Albright 2-0 on Tuesday Night.
The Aggies (5-3-1) moved to 4-0 at home on the season and picked up their third shutout of the season, all of which have also come on their home turf.
Just under 14 minutes into the game, Jess Williamson received a pass from Kara Kramer about 40 yards away from the goal in the middle of the field. The sophomore deked her way around two defenders before almost losing control. She fell down after being challenged by a pair of Lion defenders, but got back to her feet and scored past the goalkeeper who came out of her net to make a play.
With the score sitting a 1-0 heading into halftime, the Aggies were able to get an insurance goal in the final 45 minutes. With 26 minutes left, the Lions failed to clear a push by the Aggies and Marley Bramsway made a pass to Jess Williamson. She raced down the field and buried her second goal in the bottom right corner for her ninth goal of the season.
Olivia Sherwood and Viola Anderson each made four saves in net for the Aggies, with Sherwood playing the first half and Anderson entering for the second half.
The Aggies will wrap up non-conference action at Gwynedd Mercy on Thursday at 4 p.m.
