DOYLESTOWN (Pa.)--- After playing a scoreless first half, the Delaware Valley men's soccer team got second half goals from Danny Henson and Aaron Osborne to come away with a 2-0 win on their home turf over Albright.
The win for the Aggies was their third in a row and moves them to 4-2 on the season.
After neither team generated many offensive chances over the first 45 minutes, the Aggies saw themselves with a free kick just outside of the box to the right of the goal about five minutes into the second half. Thomas Fitzsimmons played a low ball in and Denny Henson raced in to deflect home his first goal of the season.
With just under 20 minutes left, the Lions looked to have a great chance to tie up the score, but Myles Mitchell's header went off the crossbar, keeping the Lions behind 1-0.
Just a few minutes later, Dan Aaron raced up the left side of the field and crossed a pass into the box where Aaron Osborne slid forward to knock home his first goal of the season to finish off the scoring on the day.
Andrew Roberto made five saves in goal for the Aggies to secure his third shutout of the season.
DelVal will wrap up their non-league schedule with a home contest against Gwynedd Mercy on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
