CENTER VALLEY (PA)--- The Delaware Valley men's and women's track and field teams competed in rainy conditions at DeSales University on day two of the MAC Championships and saw seven student-athletes qualify for the championships on Saturday.
The Aggies had a small group compete on Thursday in day one.
DAY ONE- THURSDAY
The women's 4x800 team of Alysia Joseph, Sarah Mullen, Alyssa Blackmon and Kelly Hastings finished in ninth place and set the school record with a time of 10:34.89.
Kaitlyn Jones narrowly missed on scoring in the top eight in the women's hammer throw as she finished in 11th place with a mark of 36.76 meters.
The men's 4x800 team of Carter Owen, Justin Kaufman, Ethan Berberabe and Logan Cooper ran a 8:13.27 to finish in ninth place.
Carter Owen competed in the 10k and finished in 38th.
DAY TWO- FRIDAY
Brandon Perot qualified for the men's discus final with a throw of 37.27m and that throw ended up being good enough to finish in eighth place to score a team point for the Aggies.
In the men's 400m, Logan Cooper, Matthew O'Dunlami and Dontae Mason each competed and finished in the top eight to qualify for the finals on Saturday. Cooper ran the fourth fastest time at 50.97s, O'Dunlami was right behind in fifth at 50.99s and Mason was seventh fastest at 51.43s.
Mason and O'Dunlami were the first two legs of the men's 4x100 team with Jonathan St. Hilaire and Adam Coleman which ran a 43.88, the fifth fastest time, to qualify for the finals on Saturday.
Justin Kaufman recorded a time of 1:58.06 in the men's 800m, the fourth fastest time of the race, to punch his ticket to the finals.
Adam Coleman snuck in the top eight of the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 59.16s to finish in seventh.
Sarah Mullen advanced to the women's 100m hurdles with the third fastest time of 16.44s. She finished in 18th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:15.59.
In the women's 400m, Alysia Joseph finished in 11th, running 1:03.31.
Grace Kane ran a 13.66 in the women's 100m to finish in 19th place and a 28.03 in the 200m for 17th place. Kelly Hastings finished right behind in 18th with a time of 28.18s.
Dontae Mason took 10th in the long jump with a jump of 6.07m, 25th in the men's 100m with a time of 12.01s and 28th in the 200m with a 30.42.
Moses Madison jumped 5.57m in the long jump to finish in 22nd place.
O'Dunlami finished in 29th in the 200m at 31.25.
