WILKES-BARRE (Pa.) – King's College scored eight goals to start the game and nine unanswered to end it, as visiting Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse dropped a 21-2 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom decision.
The Monarchs (2-10, 1-4 MAC Freedom) got five goals from four different players in the first, and tacked on three more over the first six minutes of the second.
With 7:35 left in the half, Susan Rawding got her 14th goal of the season off a feed from Kyra McKeegan to get the Aggies (1-11, 0-5) on the board.
Kylie Dunworth scored the next two for the home team and Emily Sims netted her third with 20 seconds left in the half to give King's a 12-1 lead at the break.
Neither team scored over the first nine minutes of the second half until Viola Anderson found Jaden Keefer for her 14th goal of the season. For Anderson, the assist was her first career point.
The rest of the game belonged to the Monarchs as they scored two in the third and six in the fourth for the final score.
McKeegan's assist up her season total to a team-high 16. Ashley Birmingham made her return to the field and led the team with five caused turnovers and five ground balls and Rawding finished with a goal and three draw controls.
Alli Lindsay paced King's with seven points on three goals and for assists and Grace Venis followed with five goals and an assist for six points.
DelVal will host Lycoming College in MAC Freedom play at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
