DALLAS (Pa.) – Misericordia University scored 13 times in the first half and held the Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team to one goal on the afternoon as the Aggies dropped a road Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom contest to the cougars, 19-1.
The Cougars (6-4, 2-0 MAC Freedom) scored nine times in the first and four more times in the second, behind five points from Alyssa Grieco.
After Misericordia tacked on one in the third quarter, Kyra McKeegan found Susan Rawding to get the Aggies (1-7, 0-2 MAC Freedom) on the board with 2:05 left in the stanza.
It remained a 14-1 game into the fourth before the home team potted five more for the 19-1 victory.
Gabby Borst had three of the team's five shots and led the squad with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Caroline Berg got the start in goal and made four saves.
Grieco finished with six points to pace the Cougars and Rachel Shook posted three goals and two assists to go with 11 draw controls.
DelVal will look to bounce-back with a home MAC Freedom contest against Stevens Institute of Technology at 4 p.m.
