Six Aggies Qualify for MAC Championships with Strong Performances at Greyhound Invitational

BETHLEHEM (PA)--- The Delaware Valley men's and women's track and field teams saw six Aggies qualify for the MAC Championships in seven different events at the Greyhound Invitational at Moravian University Friday.

Dontae Mason took 15th in the men's 100m with a PR of 11.55s and 12th in the men's 200m, running a 23.39s, also a PR. Both of those times qualified him for the MAC Championships. He has now qualified for the MAC Championships in five different events. 

The senior also finished in sixth place in the men's triple jump with a distance of 12.48m. 

Alongside Mason in the 100, Moses Madison took 18th place with a time of 11.72s. He also competed in the 200, finishing with a 24.15 in 20th place, and in the long jump with a distance of 6.12m for 9th place.

In the men's 400m, Logan Cooper (49.30s, 3rd place), Matthew O'Dunlami (50.28s, 6th place) and Adam Coleman (51.61s, 9th place) each recorded a PR, with O'Dunlami and Coleman qualifying for the MAC Championships with today's results. Cooper's time of 49.30 gives him the fastest time in all of the MAC this season. 

Justin Kaufman finished in 4th place in the men's 800m, running a 1:57.49. That mark was a PR for Kaufman and qualified him for the MAC Championships. 

Ethan Berberabe also competed in the 800m, running a 2:13.09.

Brandon Perot took ninth in the discus with a throw of 40.00m and was one of three Division III participants today to qualify for finals.

He was also one of only two Division III competitors to advance to the finals of the shot put and took 8th with a throw of 14.07m

Justin Rosenberger recorded a PR in the 100, finishing with a time of 12.56s.

Carter Owen competed in the 1500m and earned a personal best of 4:24.15 in 16th place.

Billy Mayer (39.00m) and Nicholas Lienhard (35.55m) each threw a PR in the men's Javelin.

Javon Speid recorded a 11.52m throw in the shot put for a PR.

Alysia Joseph punched her ticket to the MAC Championships in the women's 400m, finishing in 13th place with a 1:03.97.

Kelly Hastings qualified for the MAC Championships in the women's 200m, running a 27.56 in 18th place. She also ran a PR in the 800, clocking in a 2:34.33 in 21st place. 

Alyssa Blackmon ran a PR in the women's 1500m with a 5:17.99, good for 22nd place. In the 800, she took 23rd with a 2:41.77.

Kait Jones threw a personal record 36.26m in the women's hammer throw, finishing in 22nd place. 
 

She also competed in shot put, throwing 8.32m.

Lauren Yost took 19th in the women's javelin, throwing 25.41m.

Chante Newman finished in 21st in the women's 100m with a time of 14.38m and in 28th in the 200m with a 29.68.

"Our team came out and everyone had a season best or PR," head coach Tim Wilson said. "I can't ask for much more out of a team. We have a ton of momentum and now it's up to us to keep that going into championship season."

The Aggies next meet will be a two day event next Friday and Saturday, April 22nd and 23rd, at Widener.
