DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University volleyball team defeated visiting Clarks Summit University in straight-sets during a non-conference affair Thursday night.
The Aggies improved to 8-7 overall with set wins of 25-15, 25-120, and 25-4. The Defenders fell to 0-16 overall.
Through the three sets, DelVal had 31 kills and 12 errors to the visitors 12 kills and 12 errors. The Aggies racked up a season-high 18 service aces and allowed just one against.
Victoria Tucker led the team with seven kills while Hannah Brennan Emma Helverson, and Zoe Miller each had a game-high four service aces. Grace Kane finished with five kills and two aces and Cat Nemil dished out 15 assists with six digs and two aces. Jena Kreiser pitched in the win with two kills and Emily Yun added three digs and an assist.
Clarks Summit was led by Katlyn McLeod and Ella Simmons who had three kills each and combined for five digs. Haley Bush had a team-best eight assists with 11 digs and two kills.
The Aggies will return to MAC Freedom play on Tuesday, October 11 when they travel to take on Misericordia University at 7 p.m.
