DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University volleyball team hosted Arcadia University for its final home conference match of the season and fell to the visiting Knights, 3-0.
Arcadia improved to 16-7 overall and 5-1 in MAC Freedom play while the Aggies dropped to 10-9 and 1-5. The Knights won the first and the third sets, 25-16, and took the middle set, 25-11.
The visitors had 37 kills in the match and committed just 11 errors while earning seven aces. DelVal converted 25 kills, but had 22 errors and two service aces.
The Aggies got 12 kills on 38 attempts from Olivia Deffendall and 22 assists with seven digs and two blocks from Cat Nemil. Victoria Tucker and Emma Helverson also got up for two blocks and combined for four digs and five kills. Libero Grace Wilson led the team with 17 digs and Grace Kane followed 13 digs to go with six kills and one block.
DelVal will play its final home game of the season on Friday, October 21 when it hosts Saint Elizabeth. The match will start at 6 p.m. after the Aggies honor Cat Nemil with a special senior day ceremony.
