DOYLESTOWN (Pa.)--- The Delaware Valley University women's soccer team recognized their four seniors, Olivia Sherwood, Kara Kramer, Kylee Hetrick and Cheyenne Strunk, before their MAC Freedom contest against Wilkes. The visiting Colonels came away with a 1-0 win.
The Colonels were able to push through for the game's lone goal in the first half when Holly Feese found the back of the net for Wilkes. The Aggies were able to generate five shots on goal over the first 45 minutes, but Colonel keeper Hannah Landis turn away all five attempts to keep the score a 1-0 heading into halftime.
The Aggies looked to have their best chance of the game in the second half, when Jess Williamson found herself with possession behind the Aggie defense. Landis made a one on one save, then popped back up to her feet to make a second save. She finished with eight saves.
Olivia Sherwood made 11 saves for the Aggies, including her best of the game with just over two minutes left, a diving save to her left.
The Aggies next game is against Drew on Tuesday, October 18th at Robert A. Lipinksi Field for a 7:30 p.m. start.
