Men's Soccer Falls In League Tilt At #4 Stevens

HOBOKEN (Nj.) – The Delaware Valley University men's soccer team fell 4-0 on the road to the fourth-ranked team in Division III, Stevens Institute of Technology, in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom tilt.

The Ducks improved to 10-0-2 and earned their fifth shutout in a row while the improved to 3-0-1 in league play. The Aggies dropped to 6-5 overall and 1-3 in conference.

Stevens scored twice in the first 22 minutes of the game with Leo Musacchia blasting one from outside the 18 for his first of the season in the 11th minute. The next goal was scored by Jack Seitz off a well-executed throw in play. Adam Silva and Fritz Kabieseman earned the assists and the Ducks took the 2-0 lead into the halftime break.

The Aggies battled for the first 30 minutes of the second before the home team earned a free-kick in the 77th minute and Silva placed a hard shot into the right corner for a three-goal lead. Less than five minutes later, Sean Ryan's pass sprung Kevin Lochbihler for a break-away goal and the 4-0 final.

DelVal had six shots in the game, led by Danny Henson's two, while the Ducks got of 14 shots.

Andrew Roberto made four saves in 81:32 played before Jack Heery finished the game.

The Aggies return home for another conference battle against Wilkes at 7 p.m. on Friday.
