GLENNSIDE (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University field hockey team was overcome by Arcadia University, 7-1, on the road in the first Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom test of the season
The Knights (5-5, 1-0 MAC Freedom) scored two minutes into the game and added one more in the final minute of the first quarter to take a two-goal lead into the second. The tacked on two more in the second quarter to double their lead at the break.Â
The Aggies (3-7, 0-1 MAC Freedom) had four corner attempts and five shots on goal in the first half but could not find the back of the cage. Â

Kaylee Hartung got DelVal on the board thanks to an assist from senior
TJ Smith, but it was not enough as Morgan Dee completed her hat trick with two goals in the second half to help Arcadia to the victory.Â
Smith led the Aggies with two shots on goal and
Alyssa Rudd made 12 saves in goal. DelVal will take on Drew in a non-conference affair at home on Tuesday at 7 p.m. before returning to conference play on Friday.Â
