CHESTER (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University field hockey team played its second game of 2021 at non-conference for Widener University on Saturday, but was held off the scoreboard as the host Pride rallied to a 7-0 victory.
Widener got on the board just under 11 minutes into the game when Madi Radnoff scoredher first of four goals on the day. The Pride maintained the one-goal advantage into the second where it tacked on three more to take a 4-0 lead into halftime. Radnoff found Juliana Sanchez for her first of the year before potting her second and third tallies of the day late in the stanza.
Radnoff finished with five points and had five shots on goal to lead all players while keeper Kylie Haberstroh earned the win.
Alyssa Rudd made five saves in the gave for DelVal and
Jess Dixon got off two shots. The Pride took a 6-3 advantage in corner opportunities.
The Aggies play their home opener on Wednesday, September 8 at 4 p.m. against Albright College.
