DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – For the second straight week, the Delaware Valley University football team's defense dominated as it held visiting Montclair State University to just 29 yards of total offense and no points to fuel a 26-2 non-conference victory for the number 10 ranked team in the country in the 2021 home opener.

- DelVal won the toss and elected to receive.
FIRST QUARTER
- DelVal's first drive began on its 35-yard line, but ended with a fumble after five plays and Montclair took over in Aggie territory.
- The Red Hawks went three-and-out on their first drive but pinned the Aggies at their own 1-yard line. With DelVal unable to advance, Montclair got a blocked punt that rolled out of the end zone for a safety and a 2-0 lead.
- The two teams combined for just 35 yards in the quarter and each had one turnover.
- Linebacker Aaron Mayers got his first interception of the season for the Aggies.
- The visitors held a 2-0 lead going into the second.
SECOND QUARTER
- Late in the second, Daquan Bohannan found Nashir Morgan for 71 yards down the sideline and he took it the house for his first touchdown as an Aggie and a 6-2 lead after a failed two-point conversion attempt.
- 71-yard gain aside, the two teams combined for just 41 yards of offense as the defenses continued to control the play.
- DelVal held Montclair to -6 yards on the ground and 11 yards through the air for one yard of total offense on 17 plays in the quarter.
- The Aggies led 6-2 at the half.
THIRD QUARTER
- - On DelVal's second drive, Bohannan connected with Tristan Whethers for 34 yards and two plays later the senior quarterback punched home his first score of the season to make it 12-2 after a missed PAT.
- - With three minutes left in the third, Jamir Prevard picked off his second pass of the season inside Montclair territory to set the Aggies offense up again.
- - With 1:10 on the clock, Isaiah Calhoun rose up in the back corner of the end zone and hauled in a 25-yard highlight reel touchdown. A Pat Moran extra point gave DelVal a 19-2 lead.
- - Once again, the Red Hawks were held without a first down in the third quarter and managed just five yards of offense.
- - DelVal led 19-2 after three.
FOURTH QUARTER
- After forcing another three-and-out early in the fourth, Montclair punted to All-American return specialist Tahmir Barksdale who went 51 yards the other way for his fourth career return touchdown, setting a school record and giving the Aggies a 26-2 lead.
- The Red Hawks were held to -2 yards of total offense and no first downs in the fourth quarter.
