Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Women's Lacrosse Downed At Widener

CHESTER (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team trailed by two eight minutes into regulation, but host Widener University went on a big run to earn a 22-4 non-conference victory.

The Pride (4-3) scord the first three goals of the game before Amanda McKeegan found Jaden Keefer to get the Aggies (0-7) on the board. It was the sixth goal of the year for Keefer and McKeegan's second assist. After Widener quickly got the goal back, McKeegan potted an unassisted to tally to make it 4-2 with 22:54 left in the first.

The Pride scored 14 more times in the first half to lead 18-2 at the break. DelVal was outscored, 4-2, in the second as the home team cruised to victory. McKeegan and Ashley Birmingham each scored unassisted goals for the Aggies in the final eight minutes of regulation.

Amanda McKeegan finished with three points in the game and is now the program's all-time career leader in that category with 133 points, and she is just three goals and three assists away from becoming the program's all time leader for career totals in those categories.

DelVal will take on Wilkes University on the road next Wednesday, April 7 at 6 p.m.
