DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) -- Three different players scored for the Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team, but visiting Misericordia University was ran away with a 24-3 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom win.
The Cougars (4-2, 2-0 MAC Freedom) built a 14-0 lead in the first half before
Sadie Strober got the Aggies (0-8, 0-4 MAC Freedom) on the board with a free-position goal with 1:17 left in the stanza. It was Strober's second goal of the season.
Misericordia tacked on 10 more in the second, and a pair of DelVal rookies
Kyra McKeegan and
Belle Walls scored late in regulation for the 24-3 final.
Ashley Birmingham led the Aggies defensively with three caused turnovers, two ground balls, and two draw controls while all three goals came unassisted.
Rebecca Kingsley made seven saves in goal.
For the Cougars, Justine Johnson led the way with six points on two goals and four assists as 12 different players registered at least a point.
