Women's Lacrosse Overcome At Home By Stevenson

DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) -- Visiting Stevenson University got a combined 20 points from Caroline Murphy and Hannah Huff as it defeated the Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team, 26-1, in a non-conference match.

The Mustangs (4-0) scored 12 goals over the first 15:55 of regulation and held the Aggies (0-4) off the scoresheet.

Jaden Keefer got DelVal on the board with her fifth goal of the season, assisted by Sabrina Butler to make it 12-1 with 11:12 left to play in the first.

Stevenson continued to press as Murphy and Huff scored or assisted on nine of the team's fifteen goals in the first half, and the visiting team went into the break ahead, 15-1.

With the clock running, the Mustangs tacked on 11 more goals in the second to walk away with a 26-1 victory.

Keefer's goal was the 25
th of her career. DelVal had three shots on goal while rookie keeper Rebecca Kingsley made seven saves.   

Murphy finished with eight goals and five assists while Huff had four goals and three assists to lead the Mustangs.

The Aggies will travel to Wilkes-Barre, PA for a conference tilt against King's College this Wednesday at 5 p.m.
