DOYLESTOWN (Pa.)—Stevens Institute of Technology scored five goals during an explosive second half to defeat host Delaware Valley University, 6-0, capturing their first Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom win of the season.
The Ducks moved to 6-4-1 overall and 1-1 in MAC Freedom play. The Aggies drop to 4-6 overall and 0-2.
Cristiano Hocken got the Ducks on the board 15:32 into the game, scoring his fourth goal of the season off a long pass from Fritz Kabeiseman. Quinn McCarty made eight first half saves for the Aggies to keep the deficit at 1-0 at the break.
Stevens wasted no time adding to their lead in the second half, as Hocken set up Luca Campbell for his first goal of the season 59 seconds into the half. Hocken added his second goal of the game 8:55 later to make it 3-0. Adam Silva, Brian Pacceli and Kevin Lochbihler each tallied their first goals of the season during a 17:06 span to round out the scoring for the Ducks.
McCarty finished with a career high 10 saves, playing 83:51 in goal. John Braun played the final 6:09, but faced no shots.
The Aggies host Lycoming for a MAC Freedom contest on Friday, October 8th at 4PM.
