DOYLESTOWN (PA)--- The Delaware Valley University women's soccer team got off to a fast start and pulled away in the second half in a 3-0 non-conference matchup against visiting Wilson College (9-6, 7-1).
The Aggies (7-8, 0-7) wasted no time getting on the board, as in the 4th minute, Jess Williamson made a great pass to Rylee West cutting into the box. West fought off a defender and buried a right-footed shot for her third goal of the year to make it 1-0.
DelVal had a great opportunity to add to their lead in the 42nd minute, as Sydney Dispoto put a shot past the keeper, but it caught the left post and the score remained 1-0 at halftime.
The Aggies extended their lead in the 63rd minute, when Hannah Seltzer gained possession by splitting two defenders, dribbled into the box and netted her third goal of the season in the bottom left corner to make it 2-0.
Delaware Valley got some late insurance in the 89th minute from Jess Williamson, as she took control after a Wilson failed clear, made a move on the goalie and left her self a wide open goal for her 17th goal of the season.Â
DelVal played a majority of the game in their offensive end, outshooting Wilson 18-1 for the game.Â
The Aggies will conclude their season on Friday against Arcadia and will honor their seniors during senior night prior to the game.
