READING (Pa.) -- Delaware Valley University volleyball played its second game in as many nights, but fell at Penn State Berks in three games in the final non-conference match of the season.
The Aggies (3-14) dropped the first game, 25-13, and the second, 25-20. The Nittany Lions claimed the match victory with a 25-15 win in the third game.
Berks had 47 kills and 13 errors on 117 attempts for the match while DelVal totaled 26 kills, 14 errors, and 103 attempts.
Cassie Shoupe led the Nittany Lions with 17 kills, three service aces, and 13 digs and Julia Rathsam had a game-high 38 assists.
Olivia Deffendall paced the Aggies with six kills, one service ace, and two blocks while Caitlin Nemil finished with 20 assists and
Grace Kane had 12 digs.
DelVal will close the 2021 campaign on Thursday when it hosts DeSales University at 7 p.m. That match will be played at Philadelphia Sports Club in Chalfont, Pa.
