DOYLESTOWN (Pa.)  – 
Amanda McKeegan scored a career-high eight goals to lead the Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team to a 17-12 triumph over host Lancaster Bible College in the 2020 season opener. 
With the victory, DelVal remained undefeated in home-openers since its inauguration in 2015.
Jaden Keefer scored the Aggies first goal of the season on a free possession attempt, but the Chagers responded with two goals in span of 67 seconds to go ahead, 2-1. McKeegan cut through the middle and fired a shot into the low left corner for her first of the day to tie the game at 2-2 with 21 minutes remaining in the half, and six minutes later, she fired home her second of the day to put DelVal back on top.
McKeegan added another two goals, 
Natalie VanOrden and 
Sabrina Butler each scored their first of the season, and the Aggies outscored Lancaster Bible 4-3 over the remainder of the first half to take a 7-5 lead into the second.
Kendal Ream scored back-to-back goals less than thirty second apart and Cheyanne Seber added her second goal of the day to put the Cahrgers back on top, 8-7, early in the second.
The Aggies responded with a 6-1 run over the next twelve minutes to take a 13-9 lead. VanOrden and Butler each added their second of the game, Keefer completed her hat trick, and McKeegan picked up her fifth and sixth of the game. The Chargers responded with three in a row to pull within one, but DelVal added four more goals before time expired, including McKeegan's eighth of the game with less than five seconds remaining on the clock.
McKeegan's eight goals broke her previous career-high of five, which she scored on two occasions last season. McKeegan also added an assist for a career-high nine points. VanOrden scored the first hattrick of her career and added an assist for four points, and Keefer also finished with three goals. Butler had two goals and an assist, and senior 
Amanda Stefan scored her first career tally. 
Shannon Hood and Liv Valentine split time in the cage and each made seven saves. 
DelVal will play its home opener on Wednesday, February 26 as it welcomes Gwynedd Mercy for a 4 p.m. affair.
