DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) -- Senior
Andre Permyashkin had six points to lead the Delaware Valley University men's soccer team to a 6-0 home triumph over non-conference foe Pratt Institute on Sunday afternoon.
The Aggies improved to 4-5-1 with their first win since September 7, while the Cannonneers fell to 1-5-1 overall.
DelVal scored three times in the first half and Permyashkin played a roll in every goal. He got the scoring started when he ran down a through ball from
Billy Moyer and poked it passed a charging keeper to make it 1-0 in the 21st minute. Moyer was credited with the assist.
Exactly four minutes later, Permyashkin sent a long cross into the box where
Matt Miller was waiting at the back post and he put it to the back of the net to make it 2-0. DelVal's third tally came when Permyashkin sent a through ball down the right side to
Andreas Novak and the freshman tracked it down and beat the keeper with a right footed shot to the far side to make it a 3-0 game going into the second.
The Aggies tacked on three more goals over the final 8:54 of regulation to run away with the 6-0 win. Permyashkin got his second of the game with a beautiful heal flick off a centering pass from
Dan Arone.
Sean Maley and
Dan Marcolongo added unassisted tallies in the final five minutes.
For the freshman Marcolongo and Novak, it was their first career tallies. Permyashkin finished with two goals and two assists for six points.
