RADNOR (Pa.) -- Cabrini University scored two late goals in the first half and never looked back as it earned a 3-0 non-conference shutout over the visiting Delaware Valley University men's soccer team under the lights on Wednesday night.
The Aggies (3-5-1) tested the Cavaliers (3-5-1) keeper with two shots on goal in the first half, but the home team countered late in the first half with two shots and two goals. Jake Sully and Tyler Tomlin hooked up for both tallies, with Tomlin getting the goals and Sully picking up the helpers, the last of which came in the final minute of the first stanza.
Just two minutes into the second half, Cabrini made it 3-0 when Ray Wilson found the back of the net off a feed from Andre Justin. The Cavaliers held DelVal to three shots on target in the final 45 minutes to secure the 3-0 victory.
Andre Permyashkin got off four shots in the game and two were on target while
Austin Daniels and Mike Janelli had the other attempts.
Shay McAnee played all 90 minutes in goal and made six saves. Next up for the Aggies is the conference opener at DeSales on Saturday with kick-off set for 3 p.m.
