Men's Soccer Blanked On The Road At Shenandoah

Winchester (VA) – The Delaware Valley University men's soccer traveled to Virginia for a non-conference game Friday afternoon, but came up empty as host Shenandoah University earned a 2-0 shutout.

The Hornets upped their record to 4-4 overall while the Aggies fell to 3-3-1.

Senandoah got on the board less than 10 minutes into the game when Trace Becker found an opening in the lower left side of the goal to make it 1-0, and Chase Greene picked up the assist. The score would remain 1-0 through the entirety of the first half as neither team registered another shot on goal.

Becker notched his second of the game in the 59th minute of play, as this time, he went to the top right corner off a feed from Branden Gallent for the 2-0 final.

DelVal finished the game with six shots off the boots of three players combined - Austin Daniels, Mike Janelli, and Andre Permyashkin. Josh Jarrett played all ninty minutes and made four saves in goal for the Aggies.

DelVal will return to action on Monday, September 23 as they host Stevenson University at 4 p.m.
