DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's soccer team fell to visiting Rosemont College, 1-0, in a non-conference match on Thursday evening.
 
The Aggies fell to 1-4-1 overall while the Ravens improved their record to 2-3 on the year.

Both teams played great defensively, and Rosemont had the only corner opportunity of the first half and finished the frame with three shots on goal. DelVal managed four shots in the half, with two on net, but neither team could find the twine as the score remained 0-0 into the second half.

In the 53^rd minute, the Aggies misplayed the ball off a throw-in deep in their own zone and Rosemont's Maciana Mazzeo was there to force a turnover and she fired a shot towards the top right corner of the net which sailed in from over 20 yards out for a 1-0 lead.

The Aggies applied pressure in the second half with four shots on net but the Ravens held on for the victory.

Haley Young played a solid game between the pipes and kept the team in the game, she finished with four saves.

DelVal will return to action this Saturday as it hosts Susquehanna University at 7 p.m.
