WARRINGTON (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University men's golf team competed in a dual match for the first time this spring and senior
Tyler Woytas shot the best round of his career with an 82, but it was not enough as it lost in the team scoring, 361-369, to Arcadia University at the home course of the Aggies, Five Ponds Golf Club, in Warrington, Pa.
Five Ponds played extra long today as conditions were very wet with high winds and low temperatures, and the players battled the tough track. From the blue tees, the couse played to a par-71 at 6,672 yards.
The Knights had the top individual scorer as Kyle Henofer shot a plus-6, 77, followed by Woytas' 82 (+11).
Dean Alexander of Arcadia followed with a 91 (+20) and senior
Colton Lesh, along with teammate
Ryan Obes, tied four fourth place with plus-22, 93, rounds.
The Knights placed the next three individual scorers with one player shooting a 96, and two Kinghts carding 97 each. Arcadia's Dalton Fink and DelVal's
Nathan Frick, tied with plus-30 cards of 101. Frick rounded out the individual scorers for the Aggies team score.
Riley Guinan and
Charlie Obrecht each competed as individuals for DelVal and each carded a 110 (+39).
