WAYNE, N.J. – Delaware Valley golf kicked off the 2026-27 season with an eighth-place finish at the Pioneer Fall Invite, hosted by William Paterson University, on Thursday.

Thirteen teams competed at Preakness Valley Golf Course, which played 6,322 yards with a par of 70. Drew University won the team event with a score of 296 (+16), while players from Stevens Institute of Technology and Kean University tied for first individually, both shooting one under par.

As a team, DelVal posted a 322 (+42), led by Jack Brennan. Brennan finished 12th with a 76 (+6), highlighted by a birdie on the fifth hole that helped him card a team-best 37 on the front nine.

Daniel McColgan finished 34th out of 75 golfers with an 80 (+10), followed by Mason Henne and Trent Parkhurst, who tied for 41st with scores of 83 (+13). Henne, Parkhurst and Brennan each birdied the 18th hole, a par five.

Patrick Taylor rounded out the Aggies with an 86 (+16) to finish 54th.

DelVal returns to action on Wednesday, September 23, against Penn State-Abington at Philmont Country Club.
