LANCASTER (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University men's soccer team surrendered four unanswered goals to host Lancaster Bible College en route to a 4-1 non-conference setback.
The Chargers (10-4-2) needed just 11:15 to get on the board as Chad Tolson fed Rama Mugisha for his sixth tally of the season. The home team took a 2-0 lead into the halftime break after Caleb Nelson finished a pass from Isaac Gutierrez in the 44th minute, just 90 seconds before the half ended.
In the second half, Tolson and Mugisha scored goals just two minutes apart to extend the advantage to 4-0.
The Aggies (5-11-1) finally broke through in the 73rd minute when
Austin Daniels scored his team-leading ninth of the season. Lancaster Bible held DelVal to just four shots in the game, two on goal, and countered with 11 of its own on-target.
Josh Jarrett played all 90 minutes in net and made seven saves. DelVal has just two games remaining in the regular season, both home conference matches, beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday against Stevens Tech.
