MADISON (Nj.) -- The Delaware Valley University men's soccer team surrendered four unanswered goals to host FDU-Florham, and suffered a 5-2 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom set back.
The Devils (6-7-2, 1-3-1 MAC Freedom) got on the board first in teh 17th minute as they converted a set piece play off a corner kick. Oliver Trujillo sent the ball in and Jack Zaretsky was on the other end to make it a 1-0 game.
The Aggies (5-10-4, 0-5 MAC Freedom) countered just 6:40 later as
Austin Daniels scored his team-leading eighth goal of the season to knot the score at one apiece.
Jonathan Rodriguez gave FDU a 2-1 lead at halftime as he banged home a rebound in the 32nd minute. Out of the break, the Devils score two goals separated by 2:14 and added another in the 77th minute to take a commanding 5-1 lead.
Sophomore
Billy Moyer netted his first collegiate goal in the 82nd minute to make it a 5-2 final.
The Aggies will go to Lancaster Bible College on Thursday for a 6 p.m. kickoff before returning home to wrap-up the regular season with a pair of MAC Freedom games.
