DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University field hockey team trailed just 2-1 at halftime, but visiting Arcadia University scored four times in the second half to run away with a 6-2 non-conference victory.

The Aggies (3-6) gave up an early goal as Carly Flickinger notched an unassisted tally just 1:34 into regulation to put the Knights (3-6) on top, 1-0. Arcadia added one more as Mickie March found Michaela Furlow at the corner of the cage and she tucked one in the right side of the cage with just 1:49 left in the first quarter.

DelVal responded and cut its deficit in half when Ali Aguilar send a pass up the seam to T.J. Smith and she blasted on into the cage with under 30 seconds left in the first stanza to make it a 2-1 game going into the second.

In the third quarter, the Knights were awarded a penalty stroke and Victoria Rojas lifted one waist high to the right side of the cage to make it 3-1.

The Aggies answered right back wiht a well executed corner play just 3:04 later. Gillian Nardelli played the ball out to the top of the arch for Aguilar and Aguilar gave it back to Nardelli at the side of the cage where she redirected home to make it a one-goal game again, 3-2, heading into the fourth.

The final 15 minutes were all Arcadia as the Knights earned five corner opportunites, got off 14 shots, and scored three times. Ferlow capped off her hat-trick with the final two tallies and Adera Ahern added one off a nice passing play with assists from Carly Dmiterchik and Lauren Dougherty.

Rosie Bishop played all 60 minutes in the cage for DelVal and made 19 saves while Aguilar picked up two assists.
