DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Lybrant Robinson scored a career-high 22 points, but the Delaware Valley University men's basketball team dropped an 86-74 home decision to Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom rival DeSales University.

The Bulldogs remained undefeated in league play at 4-0 (11-4 overall) while the Aggies dropped their sixth straight contest and fell to 6-9 overall and 2-2 in MAC Freedom games.

This contest was tied four times through the first 6:32 of play and Andre' Butler connected on a pair of treys including one from straight-away that made it 15-15.

Later in the half, Butler hit his third trey of the game to give DelVal its largest lead of the game, 34-29, with 2:38 left in the half. From there, DeSales scored 10 of the final 13 points to take a 39-37 lead into the locker room.

Both squads shot over 40-percent from the field through the first 20 minutes, and the Aggies hit 6-of-11 treys compared to 5-of-12 for the Bulldogs. Butler had 11 points at the break, Washington had 10, and Robinson, seven.

In the second half, DeSales quickly built its lead to 10 with an 8-0 run to start the stanza.

DelVal responded with a 10-6 run over the next 2:22 of play to pull within six, 53-47, with 13:50 still remaining. Freshman Terrence Johnson highlighted the spurt with eight points off the bench including a pair of 3-pointers.

The Aggies trailed by seven, 67-60, with 6:05 on the clock before the Bulldogs went on an 8-1 run to take their largest lead of the game, 76-61. DelVal closed the gap to a single-digit deficit down the stretch, but did not have enough to overcome DeSales which pulled away with the 86-74 win.
