OCEAN CITY (MD) -- The Delaware Valley University cheerleading team ended its 2017-18 competition season in grand fashion by successfully defending its title at the Reach The Beach National Championships.
It marks the third time in the last four years and seventh overall in school history that the Aggies won the Collegiate - Small All-Girl Elite Division.
The Aggies went head-to-head with Shenandoah University over a two-day period with each day being worth 50 percent of the team scoring. The scoring, which is based on technique and difficulty for stunts, jumps, tumbling, dance, pyramid and routine composition, was decided by just four points. In the end, it was DelVal taking home the crown with a raw score of 84.30.
