CENTER VALLEY (PA) – Delaware Valley University erased a four-goal deficit to pull within one, but could not complete the comeback as DeSales University held on late for a 12-11 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom at home.
The Aggies fell to 4-5 overall and 0-2 in league games while the Bulldogs improved to 4-6 and 1-1.
DelVal found itself down 7-3 after Danielle Burke scored for DeSales with 3:38 left before the break. The Aggies then scored two straight with McKeegan getting her first of the day before

Kara Imes for a man-down goal to make it 7-5. The Bulldogs added one just before the half to reclaim a three-goal lead at the half.
Burke opened the second half scoring for Desales to make it 9-5, but the Aggies responded with three unanswered in a three minute span.

Claire Gamache found McKeegan to make it 9-6 and, 1:44 later,
Taylor Teliszewski got an unassisted tally to make it a two-goal game. Shortly after, it was Teliszweski setting up Gamache to make it 9-8 with just over 20
minutes left in regulation.
The teams traded goals until Sydney Mursko found Julia Astram to make it 12-10 with 5:25 remaining.
DelVal made it interesting late as Gamache scored with 2:29 on the clock to pull the team within one. With 20 seconds on the clock, the Aggies earned a free position attempt, but the shot went wide and DeSales held on for the 12-11 victory.
Gamache (three goals, one assist) and Teliszewski (2 goals, 2 assists) each finished with four points and grabbed three ground balls apiece. McKeegan followed with three goals and
Sabrina Butler, Imes and Janee Rhone each scored once.
Courtney Knight led the team with three caused turnovers.
Amanda Dietrich finished with 18 saves and five ground balls in goal.
Burke led all players in the game with five goals for DeSales and Kelly Meade potted three while leading the team with seven ground balls. Three other players recorded multiple points including Sami Stahi who had two goals. Rachel Sheubrooks played all 60 minutes in goal making 11 saves.
