Aggie Baseball Opens Florida Trip With Pair Of Losses

FORT PIERCE (FL) -- The Delaware Valley University baseball team began its Spring Break trip by dropping a doubleheader to Muskingum University. The Aggies fell 10-5 in the opener and followed with a 1-0 setback in the nightcap.

The second game saw senior Ben Lippincott pitch a gem as he permitted just one run and five hits in six-plus innings. He walked two and fanned two.

With the game scoreless in the seventh inning, Lippincott retired the first two batters. However, two hits and a walk loaded the bases. A wild pitch brought in the winning run for the walk-off.

The opener saw DelVal (1-3) hold an early 2-1 lead before the Fighting Muskies (4-4) score seven unanswered runs, en route to the 10-5 win. Michael Milazzo continued his hor start by going 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Kevin Crill, Luke Hendricks and Ryan Schuetrumpf also drove in runs for the Aggies. Jeremy Hefele pitched into the fifth inning and took the loss.
