Aggies Earn Second Straight Victory At Albright

READING (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's lacrosse team earned its second consecutive win behind 10 saves from Nic Brown in a 7-3 victory at Albright College on a snowy Tuesday afternoon.

The Aggies improved to 2-4 on the young season while the Lions dropped to 2-5.

Chris Coyle got DelVal started with his team-leading 12th goal of the season just over four minutes into the contest. Later in the quarter, with the Aggies down a man, Jerad Wilson earned his first collegiate tally with an unassisted goal that made it 2-0.

Less than a minute into the second quarter, P.J. Rafferty set up Dylan Brasch to help DelVal to a 3-0 lead. Albright got two back in the quarter, including a man-up tally by Carson Babcock off a feed from James Gorman, to make it a one-goal game at halftime.

In the second half, the Aggies scored three unanswered goals to go up 6-2 in the fourth quarter. Coyle started the spurt with the second man-down goal of the game and Brasch and Khalil Lindsey tacked on the others.

Nick Tonno got one back for the Lions late in the fourth quarter, but Nick Shendge answered right back for DelVal with 2:31 left in the game to seal the 7-3 victory for the Aggies.

Shendge added an assist on the Lindsey goal to join Brasch and Coyle with three points in the game. Jordan Smith also got on the scoresheet as he set up Brasch on his second goal. Wilson led all players in the game with nine ground balls and Orterro Felton followed with eight to go with a game-high three caused turnovers. Brown was impressive in 60 minutes between the pipes to earn his second win of the year.

Jack Bobel joined Babcock and Tonno as the Lions' goal scorers with Gorman earning the lone assist. Albright had three players with at least five ground balls including J.J. Boliaux who led the team with six. James Lettieri took all of the team's face-offs and finished 9-for-14.
