Penn State Abington (3-6-2) had the first four shots of the game before the Aggies (3-7) got off their lone shot in the first half. Then in the second, the Nittany Lions, who hit a post less than two minutes earlier, scored as Pam Blesi found an open Taylor Perkowski in the right corner of the box for the 1-0 lead.

DelVal had four shots over the final 32-plus minutes, but could not notch the tying the goal. The Aggies did have a 3-2 advantage in corners as well as five of the game's 12 shots, including two by Serena Zilli.
