WILKES BARRE (PA) – King's College committed just nine offensive errors in three sets to earn a 3-0 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom victory over visiting Delaware Valley University. Set scores were 25-11, 25-15, and 25-16.
The Monarch's (12-5, 2-2 MAC Freedom) had an impressive 15 kills and two errors on 28 attempts in the first set. As a team, they finished the match with 37 kills and just nine errors with three players leading the way with six kills.
The Aggies (3-10, 0-4 MAC Freedom) totaled 23 kills and 25 errors in the match, and recorded five service aces to Kings' three.
Kayla Bracken had two of the aces and
Taylor Purner and
Jess Holster each had one.
Danielle McKelvey led the squad with eight kills and Purner dished out 14 assists.
DelVal will look to bounce back on its home court when it hosts Cheyney University at 7 p.m. on Friday night.
