DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University volleyball team hosted 10-time reigning Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom champion Eastern University on Wednesday night, but it was the Eagles came away with a 3-0 road victory.
Eastern (18-3, 4-1 MAC Freedom) won in straight sets with scores of 25-10, 25-12, and 25-10.
The Aggies (4-12, 0-5 MAC Freedom) finished the match with 11 kills and three service aces.
Danielle McKelvey led the squad with four kills and
Kayla Bracken and
Samantha Nields tallied three each. The team's aces came from Nields,
Alexis Sideris and
Tara Moffa. Defensively, Nields, Sideris and
Laura Sweger each earned a block
Tara Moffa pitched in with 11 digs.
Michelle Paulsen led the Eagles with 13 kills followed by Caroline Shelby's eight. Morgan Kline had a match-high six service aces to go with 28 assists.
The Aggies will head to Wesley College to take on the Wolverines at 7 p.m. on tomorrow night.
