READING (PA) – Albright College scored two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game and did not look back as it defeated the visiting Delaware Valley University women's soccer team 2-0 on Saturday night.
The Lions improved to 4-4 overall while the Aggies dropped to 1-6-1.
Kenned Lutz got Albright on the board just 34 seconds into the game with a shot from about 10 yards out. Exactly eight minutes later Daniella LoBue sent a cross into the box and Jillian Lapidus finished on the other end for the 2-0 lead.
That was all the Lions would need as DelVal failed to manage a shot in the game. Albright had six shots on goal including the two tallies. Corner kicks were 5-1 in favor of the Lions.
Haley Young made four saves in goal for the Aggies. They will be back in action on Tuesday, September 26 (7 p.m.) when they host Penn State Schuylkill.
