CENTER VALLEY (PA) – Delaware Valley University volleyball traveled to DeSales University for a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom showdown, but fell to the Bulldogs in three sets. Set scores were 25-10, 25-10 and 25-6.
DeSales improved its mark to 8-3 overall and remained perfect in the MAC Freedom just two games in.
The Aggies (1-4, 0-2 MAC Freedom) scored the first point of the night when
Kate Woolsey set up
Danielle McKelvey for the kill. The Bulldogs then put together a 17-4 run and did not look back the rest of the night.
DeSales owned much of the box score with a 40-6 disparity in kills, 15-5 advantage in aces and 13-7 edge in errors. Julia Bradford recorded 31 of the Bulldogs 36 assists on the night. Morgan Shoemaker and Gabby Savite had double-digit kills with 11 and 10 respectively.
Woolsey had team-highs of eight digs and two service aces while
Kayla Bracken and
Taylor Klecan paced the squad with a pair of kills each. McKelvey finished with four assists.
The Aggies will head to the Penn State Abington tri-match on Saturday, September 23 to take on their first opponent, College of Saint Elizabeth at 12 p.m.
