Box Score YORK (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's soccer evened its record at .500 thanks to a 2-0 shutout of host Penn State York in a non-conference game.
The win was the second straight for the Aggies, who improved to 5-5 on the season. They have seven games left in the season, including six Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom contests. The loss dropped the Lions to 2-5-1.
Both goals came in the first half. The first came in the 32
nd minutes as Billy Frazier, Jr. sent a crossing pass to
Nick Miller and the junior and 2016 all-MAC Freedom honoree put it in the net for his third goal of the season. It was also his second game-winning tally of the year.
Sophomore
Quinnie Paulsgraf then made it 2-0 eight minutes later in his first action of the season. He was out with an injury for the beginning of the year before dressing for the last few games. He followed up a deflection off a defender and deposited it into the net for his first career goal.
The Aggies held a 14-7 advantage in shots with seven attempts in each half. They also had eight of the game's 11 corner kicks.
Connor Hedgepeth stopped four shots, en route to the junior's third shutout of the year. Maksim Zingman had four saves for Penn State York.
DelVal will host defending MAC Freedom champion Eastern University on Saturday, October 7 (2:30 p.m.).
