CENTER VALLEY (PA) – DeSales University had three different players score as the Bulldogs downed visiting Delaware Valley University, 3-0, in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom game.
DeSales improved to 11-1-3 overall and 3-0-2 in league action while the Aggies fell to 5-9 and 0-5.
Sean Tunney got the Bulldogs on the scoreboard just 57 seconds into the game as he headed in a free kick from Max Cortina.
That was the lone tally of the first half, but DeSales put the game away with two goals in an eight-minute span in the second stanza. The first came from Justin Habick with 29:58 remaining while Kishan Modessa followed with 21:59 to go.
The Bulldogs held advantages of 12-2 in shots and 8-0 in corners. The DelVal shots came from
Sam Dibella and
Patrick McCarthy.
Connor Hedgepeth had two saves in the net in the loss.
DelVal has three games remaining, beginning with a home MAC Freedom game against Manhattanville College on Saturday, October 21 (2:30 p.m.). It will be Senior Day as the Aggies will honor
Kaisean Freedman,
Zach Miller and
Austin Wilson prior to the game.
