Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley University received goals from four separate players as the Aggies registered a 4-0 shutout over visiting Penn State Mont Alto in a non-conference game.
DelVal (2-0) dominated the game with advantages of 30-8 in shots and 9-1 in corners. The Aggies registered the first 20 shots of the contest and connected on two of them. The first came midway in the opening stanza as freshman
Austin Daniels fed classmate
Andre Permyashkin in the box. Permyashkin, who had a hat trick against Penn State York on Thursday beat goalkeeper Jared Adam up high for his fourth goal of the year.
Six minutes later, it was Daniels turn to score as he blasted one home from about 15 yards out for his first collegiate tally. DelVal put the game away early in the second half when it scored two times in a four-minute span. Freshman
Evan Augsburger connected on the first one for his first collegiate goal. The Aggies were then awarded a penalty kick and sophomore
Nick Miller, who assisted on Augsburger's goals, drilled one past Adam.
DelVal was able to have 28 players see action on Saturday. Freshmen
Sean Conroy and
Nate Boyer each played a half in goal and split the shutout. Boyer was credited with one save. Adam had 12 stops for the Lions (0-2).
The Aggies return to action on Thursday, September 8 (4 p.m.) when they travel to Summit University for a non-conference game.
