WARMINSTER (PA) – The Delaware Valley University and FDU-Florham men's golf teams braved wet and windy conditions all day at Five Ponds Golf Course and the visiting Devils came away with the 334-374 victory.
A total of six competitors on each side hit the 6,672-yard, par 71 course with the top four on each squad counting towards the team score. Despite the weather, the Devils' Brendan Demitrus pulled off a six-over-par 77 for the best round of the afternoon. Teammates Chris Budd, Chris D'Andrea and Chris Fazio were next with scores of 84, 85 and 88 respectively.
The next three top scores belonged to the Aggies, starting with
Colton Lesh's 20-over-par 91.
Colin Casserly followed with a 93 while
Nathan Frick posted a 94.
Marc Teo completed DelVal's team score with a round of 97.
Eric Wimmer (97) and David Edenfield (108) also hit the course for the Aggies.
Robert Gavin and Evan Rosenberg carded scores of 94 and 102 to finish FDU-Florham's day.
DelVal returns to action on Monday, October 3 (12:30 p.m.) when it travels to the Muhlenberg College Invitational.
