Men's Soccer

DelVal Men's Soccer Blanks Valley Forge, 2-0

Box Score PHOENIXVILLE (PA) – Evan Augsburger and Alex Wilson notched goals as the Delaware Valley University men's soccer team was victorious in its last road game of the year with a 2-0 win at the University of Valley Forge.

The Aggies improved to 6-10-1 on the season while the Patriots saw their mark go to 7-12.

Augsburger struck for his second goal of the season with just 59 seconds left in the first half as he took a feed from fellow freshman Austin Daniels and beat Valley Forge goalkeeper Aaron Sierra.

Less than six minutes into the second half, Wilson made it 2-0 as the senior notched his first collegiate goal. He lined up f a corner kick and ripped a high curler that found its way into the top of net.

DelVal held a 19-16 advantage in shots while both squads had five corner opportunities in the contest. Freshman Sean Conroy made four saves, en route to his first collegiate shutout. Sierra finished with 10 stops for the Patriots.

The Aggies have two games remaining in the 2016 campaign, beginning with Thursday night's home title against Pennsylvania College of Technology.
