Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Michael Kirby's goal with just 6:34 remaining gave visiting DeSales a 1-0 shutout over Delaware Valley University in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom game on Saturday evening.

The win improved the Bulldogs to 8-5-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference while the Aggies, who were celebrating Homecoming, fell to 5-8-1 and 0-4.

DeSales outshot DelVal, 17-5, for the first 83 minutes of the contest, but it was still scoreless thanks to another big night from Aggie goalkeeper Connor Hedgepeth as he notched 11 saves.

In the 84^th minute, DelVal was called for a foul and the Bulldogs had a free kick from about 40 yards out. Charlie Jerry sent a boot to the far post and Michael Kirby was there to tap it in. Neither team had a shot the rest of the way and DeSales had the win.

DelVal returns to action on Wednesday, October 19 (7 p.m.) when it travels to MAC Freedom foe King's College.
