Alec Scarano scored two goals while
Max Drummond added two assists as Delaware Valley University notched a 3-0 victory over host Bryn Athyn College in a non-conference game on Saturday.
The win put the Aggies back above the .500 mark with a 3-2 record while the loss dropped the Lions to the same 3-2 record.
DelVal scored just 1:53 into the contest as
Tim Szram send a through ball to Scarano and the junior connected for his second goal of the year. Scarano made it 2-0 just six-plus minutes later as he took a feed from Drummond and deposited it into the net.
The Aggies' third goal came with 32:09 remaining in the contest and it was a thing of beauty.
Austin Wilson sent a long pass into the right side of the box. Drummond headed it towards the middle and freshman
Nick Miller came flying in and deflected it past the keeper. It was Miller's second tally of the year.
Bryn Athyn held an 11-10 advantage in shots while DelVal had a 5-1 edge in corners. Freshman
Connor Hedgepeth made his first collegiate start in net and notched four saves, en route to the shutout.
The Aggies return to action on Tuesday, September 15 when they travel to non-conference foe Rosemont College.
