Box Score UNION (NJ) – The Delaware Valley University men's basketball team won its non-conference contest at Kean University, 93-75 on Saturday.
The Aggies improved to 2-1 on the year while the Cougars dropped to 0-4.
The score was tied at eight with 15:19 left in the opening half. DelVal took over from that point, orchestrating a 23-4 run to lead 31-12 with 8:28 remaining. Seven players scored in that span, led by senior
Chris Moran with 10 points. With 3:28 on the clock, the Aggies held a 42-24 advantage. Kean closed the period with 10 of the final 14 points to trail 46-34 at the break. Freshman Justin Watson had seven points in the run on a three-pointer and two layups. Moran was the leading scorer in the frame, posting 14 points followed by Watson with nine.
After a dunk by Moran, DelVal was up by 15 (56-41) with 15:41 to go. The Cougars followed with seven consecutive points to get within eight. Freshman Diego Pujols had two layups and a free throw and senior Tommy Soulias made a layup. That was the closest that Kean would get for the rest of the game, as the Aggies responded with a 16-6 run to go up by 18 (72-54) with 10:02 left. Moran had seven points in the surge, junior

Zach Sly made a foul shot. Soulias registered 20 points in the final period while Moran and Kimbrough recorded 15 and 13 points respectively.
Moran finished with a game-high 29 points and added 10 rebounds for his third straight double-double. Kimbrough totaled 21 points and Butler also reached double-figures with 14. Sly came up just short of a double-double of his own, producing nine points and nine rebounds. He also dished six assists. Senior
Barry Brockington contributed with seven points and nine rebounds while junior
Tyrea Williams grabbed seven boards.
For the Cougars, Soulias tallied 26 points and eight rebounds. Pujols ended the game with 16 points, 14 of which came in the second half, and six boards. Watson added nine points and sophomore Jerry Crismond had eight. Watson also corralled seven rebounds.
DelVal travels to non-conference opponent Penn State Berks on Saturday, November 28 (1:00 p.m.).
