DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Delaware Valley men's basketball celebrated Senior Day with a 75-68 victory over Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon. The Aggies honored seniors Caleb Johnson, Mike Herrin, and Antonio Redding prior to tipoff.
Jake McGinty found Kamal Johnson off the opening tip to get DelVal on the board, with the lead changing hands several times over the first five minutes. Sejuste and Bandy gave the Dutchmen a four-point edge before Herrin responded with seven straight points. A steal and score by McGinty swung momentum back to the Aggies. Brian Mordi pushed the lead to nine after grabbing his own rebound and finishing, and Ryan Everett added a transition bucket followed by a three from Redding. Zach Smith extended the advantage to 29-14 with a three-pointer, and after two missed free throws by LVC, Mordi added another layup.
Though the Aggies dealt with foul trouble that sent the Dutchmen to the line, Smith knocked down another three, answered by a Pavlik triple with 5:07 remaining in the half. Late defensive pressure paid off as a pair of steals led to layups by Smith and Herrin. JT Wright buried a three just before the buzzer, sending DelVal into the locker room with a 20-point halftime lead.
Melvin opened the second half scoring for Lebanon Valley, but after early misses by both teams, Mordi slammed home a dunk off a turnover, assisted by Redding. A quick 4-0 burst by Bandy was countered by a Redding three to maintain a 50-34 lead. Smith later found Everett for another triple before Sejuste scored three straight layups to chip away at the deficit.
The teams traded baskets over the next stretch, highlighted by a Wright three and a Bandy dunk with nine minutes remaining. Tang and Bandy combined for a 7-1 run, mostly at the line, trimming the DelVal lead to nine. Redding answered with two free throws, but the Dutchmen closed within 72-66 with 46 seconds left. The teams exchanged free throws down the stretch, and a key steal by Kamal Johnson with 20 seconds remaining sealed the win.
With the victory, DelVal closes the 2025-26 season at 10-15 overall and 4-10 in MAC Freedom play.
