Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University volleyball team ended its season with a 3-0 loss against visiting King's College in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom match on Wednesday.
The Aggies finish the year 2-19 overall and 0-7 in the conference. The Lady Monarchs wrapped up their campaign with a 20-7 record and they went 4-3 in the MAC Freedom. The set scores were 25-9, 25-13 and 25-12.
King's jumped out to quick leads en route to winning the first and second sets. DelVal battled early on in the third set, leading by 5-3 and 8-6 margins. The Lady Monarchs rallied to go ahead 10-9 then recorded six straight points to put the set out of reach at 16-10.
Freshman Jill Korgeski led King's with 11 kills. She also had eight digs. Sophomore Alexis Swagler totaled seven kills and six digs. Freshman Rachel Miller compiled six kills, three service aces and seven digs. Freshman Maddie Kumm produced 27 assists and six digs. Junior Brenna Smudde registered 14 digs while seniors Elen O'Donnell and Aubrey Gryskiewicz had seven apiece.
