Box Score PHOENIXVILLE (PA) – The Delaware Valley College men's soccer team scored two second-half goals in a five-minute span to pull away with the 3-1 win at University of Valley Forge (previously Valley Forge Christian College) in a non-conference tussle.
The victory improved the Aggies to 3-8-2 overall while the Patriots dropped to 3-12.
Kevin Robinson got the scoring started with his first tally of the season midway through the first half and Delaware Valley was able to hold onto the 1-0 advantage as the game went into halftime.
In the second half, Selom Dodoh maneuvered through the defense and found the back of the net for Valley Forge to tie the contest at 1-1 with 25:58 remaining in regulation. The match wouldn't stay tied for long as the Aggies responded just 54 seconds later when
Peter Tantillo set up
Steve Mannato for his fourth goal of the season. Delaware Valley added a late tally with
Alec Scarano beating the keeper for an unassisted goal, his second of the season, with just 2:33 left to play.
The Aggies outshot the Patriots, 31-10, in the contest and held an 11-7 advantage in corners.
Austin Brotman made five saves in goal for Delaware Valley while his counterpart, Zach Barbieri, matched him with five saves of his own on the other end.
